Work from home - Virtual Jobs

I have a lot of experience with work from home jobs, work from home opportunities, you name it I've tried it. I know that with these tough times many of us are looking for legitimate work to bring in extra money.

Over the next few months I will be exploring different opportunities that I have tried or currently do. I will try not to be bias. I will list the pros and cons of these various opportunities along with how to get started.

Work at home!

I haven't had much time to blog lately as I have been working at home. For years I have searched for the perfect work at home job or opportunity. I finally found a legit company that offers benefits, flexibility and great pay. I have done Avon, Melaleauca, Noni Juice, Mary Kay and countless other call center jobs that haven't panned out for one reason or another.

As a homeschool mom not only is my time limited but so are my funds! With the economy in such a state, I had to find a way to supplement my income. I am excited to say I finally did it! I am happy to share information about the company for those interested. You can take a look at the site www.dailypayplusbenefits.com.

School Planning

Okay, is it me or does anyone else feel the stress of planning for the upcoming year overwhelming? With my dad going into the hospital I feel rushed to complete lesson planning. In the past I always seem to never quite have all the planning done when the new year starts. Of course, a failure to plan is a plan that fails. I always wind up staying up late night Saturday or Sunday trying to prepare for the upcoming weeks work.

I made a promise to myself this year that all of the lesson planning would be done over the summer! Guess what? It's not done and my summer is about to end a little short. I have just under 2 weeks to finish planning for 4 kiddies. My rising Pre-K'er doesn't really require planning but I did want to get a library, subject, alphabet and number schedule together.

Any suggestions?

Busy Life

Well it's been a while since I blogged. My life has been unusually hectic. The kids are out of school for now. I needed to take a moment to prepare myself for the next big event. My dad has prostate cancer and will be going in for surgery in just a few weeks. I am so nervous about the outcome that I can't even concentrate on lesson planning for the upcoming year.

To add to the craziness DH got hurt at work and is on bed rest with a possible herniated disc and then I had someone ask me to take on two more kids for the summer. Huh! I wish someone would take just one of mine for a moment so I can think! Don't get me wrong I love my kids I just feel like my cup runneth over right now.

Homeschooling during a recession

Admit it or not we are in a recession, noone can tell us how long it will last. As a homeschool mom of six I have found myself trying to find ways to save money.

I chuckle when I think of my starter years as a hser, purchasing all of my curriculum full price from the actual distributor. My kids are happy to get a textbook that does not have highlighter all over it these days.

I have gone from working on Wall Street shopping in exclusive boutiques and only wearing designer digs to buying second hand clothes on Ebay for my little ones, purchasing recylcled books and clipping coupons. The funny thing is I wouldn't trade my life now for anything in the world!

Finally did it.

Well finally after years of hesitation....I decided to go ahead and start a blog for fellow homeschool moms like myself. Raising and homeschooling six kids, managing my Virtual Assistant business, running two online shops and just being me is a lot but somebody's gotta do it.

We took the day off today to recoup from the Memorial weekend. I managed to squeeze this blog into my schedule and will attempt to do so on a regular basis.

See you soon!
